How these pages are built

Product facts

Every dimension, drawer count, capacity, material and finish comes from the published product data for that exact piece. It is extracted by a script and written into the page. Nobody types a measurement, which removes the single largest source of error on a site this size.

Where the data does not state something, the page carries no line for it. That is why one product page shows a weight capacity and the next one does not. We would rather a page look incomplete than look confident and be wrong.

Names

Product names on this site are ours. The published titles in this category run to well over a hundred characters and repeat the same keywords several times. We read them for facts and write a name that says what the piece is, how big it is and what colour it is. Where two pieces would end up with the same name, we separate them on a real difference such as the base, the handles or the maker's model code, rather than adding a number.

Prices

Prices are updated on a schedule and every page carries the date of the last update, which for this build is 8 August 2026. A piece with no buyable price at an update reads Currently unavailable rather than showing a figure we can no longer stand behind. A change large enough to look like an error is held for a person to check rather than published automatically.

Photographs

Photographs are re-encoded once at their own size and never enlarged. The sources for this range top out at 500 pixels, so the tiles and cards on this site are sized to fit inside that. An enlarged photograph is a softer photograph in a bigger file, and there is no version of that trade worth making. Every image, script, stylesheet and font is served from a filename containing a hash of its contents, so a change to any of them reaches a returning visitor immediately.

Safety and materials

Those sections rest on federal rules rather than on opinion. Each source was opened and read on the date printed beside it, and the sentences were written to the source rather than the source found to fit a sentence. The register is on the sources page.

What is deliberately absent

• No warranty period, delivery promise or stock figure from us.
• No claims about factories, testing batches or staff.
• No typical value filled in where a specification is missing.
